We won’t pretend to be the authoritive source of links to the boomerang world; Ted Bailey’s site is a good start for those interested in such a resource. Here we’ll focus on the Australian side of things… well, the ones that aren’t tourist crap!
There are a number of state and local boomerang clubs around Australia. Two of them have their own areas on this website. They are the Boomerang Throwing Association of New South Wales (BTANSW) and the Victorian Boomerang Throwing Association (VBTA).

Hi I am looking for a proper boomerang for a friend.
Its a bit special because he holds the world record for a raw deadlift and lives in iceland.
Hi Jacob
There are many designers around the world but the key business in Australia, simply because the choice is very large, is Roger Perry of Rangs Boomerangs, Western Australia. All the boomerangs range from beginner to professional and are gauranteed to make a return flight.
Here is the website address: http://www.rangsboomerangs.com
Best of luck in finding a most suitable model.

Hi, I was looking for help about the Australian slang style of language and discovered your page http://boomerang.org.au/wp/links/ I noticed you have various links to other Australian resources. I came across this website at http://www.australianslang.org and found it to be the most helpful out of the several websites I visited. I thought that it should warrant a mention on your page.

Just had a Texan friend ask about a boomerang his friend purchased back in 1965 it has a seal on the back and says it was made by / Torres Strait Islander or Mainland Natives of Queensland Australia . Also looks like it sold for 39/- ( guessing that is 39 pence ) . It is very beautiful and looks genuine to me . Wondering where one would get it appraised please
Hi Sandra

Hi I was recently travelling through Albury and my thought turned to dad’s old frien Jeff lewry,so I hopped on google and came across this page. So many memories and people I had met.my dad is bill knight and for many years he threw boomerangs with this club.memories of dennis and Morris maxwell, bunny read ,Jeff lewry Ralph Sinclair and many others
Thanks Pauleen,
You have mentioned some of the most seasoned throwers in NSW. Last I heard was that Jeff’s father was not very well and two years ago, I saw Morris Maxwell with Rob Croll at the Melbourne Nationals.
Some of these people you mention are still association members. Will mention your name to Roger Perry. I am sure he will know who you are.
