The Australian master boomerang thrower Rob Croll won the competition at his home ground at Lewis Park in Wantirna South 4th October, followed by his fellow Victorian Dave Richardson and South Australian Simon Bollen.

Rob secured 1st place in Accuracy, Aussie Round and Fast Catch.

Rob scored excellent results in his best events: Accuracy with 85 points, scoring four 10’s, four 8’s and two 6’s. In Aussie Round, he scored 3 bullseye on the spot returns after 50m, and had a half-way score of 90 out of 100. He also achieved a first place in Fast Catch on 25.81 secs.

Dave Richardson, who is known for his Trick Catching skills, came 1st in that event with 75 points (making a perfect 50 in Doubling after a rusty start), with Simon and Rob finishing with 38 and 32 respectively. Dave also finished 1st in Endurance with a professional level 47 catches.

Simon Bollen showed marksmanship in Accuracy, following closely behind Rob with 77 points, scoring mostly 8 and 9 points for each throw and he achieved a 1st in MTA (max time aloft) with an excellent 40.52 seconds.

According to Dave Richardson, the day consisted of “… Bright sun and light swirling winds, [which] made the day seem much hotter than the nominal just-under-30 degrees”.

Congratulations to Rob Croll on an electrifying win!
